Sheet metal processing includes traditional cutting and blanking, punching, bending and pressing, and other methods and processes, which are widely used in machinery manufacturing, communications and electronics, automobiles and shipbuilding, aerospace and other industries. Metal laser cutting machines are used more frequently in the sheet metal processing industry. The finished product of laser processing has good effect and high processing efficiency. Many manufacturers in the sheet metal industry also have fiber laser cutting machines. However, for some reasons, many people have more feedback on the edges of products with burrs. Does this mean that it cannot adapt to sheet metal processing? In fact, it is not uncommon for laser cutting to have burrs. As long as the cause is found and properly solved, the appearance of burrs can be avoided.

How are burrs generated?
The burrs we are talking about are actually residual particles that appear in the cutting section of the laser high-temperature molten material. During the processing of the laser cutting machine, the laser generates a high-temperature and extremely fine laser beam for cutting through a three-in-one fusion. During the rapid vaporization and evaporation of the material, burrs will be generated at this time.

There are three reasons for the generation of specific burrs: equipment, gas, and parameters.
The first is equipment. This is a good understanding. If the equipment itself has quality problems when it leaves the factory, it is necessary to consider that unqualified products will be produced.

Next is gas. Most of the laser cutting process uses auxiliary gas. Some are adsorbed, some are easy to cut, and some are flame retardants. According to different materials, nitrogen and oxygen are usually used for metal cutting. That is to say, the effect of flame retardancy or combustion-supporting, in fact, there is no contradiction. Thicker materials are cut quickly with oxygen, and thinner materials or materials with impurities can be cut with flame-retardant gas. The premise is that the purity of the gas must be very high, otherwise the expected effect cannot be achieved.
Then set the parameters, and the parameters are not set correctly. This is well understood. Laser cutting is a process of coordination between various parts. These parameters are equivalent to commanders-if the parameters are not set correctly, where to hit is like a soldier without a general.
Therefore, when there are burrs on the laser cutting workpiece, it can be checked from several aspects:
Solution: Refocus the laser beam and adjust it to normal state.

Solution:If the laser output power is not enough, consider whether there is laser attenuation, keep the laser tube, or increase the laser tube power parameter adjustment to see if the cutting is normal.
Solution: Adjust and increase the cutting line speed in time to make the cutting line speed reach the normal value.
Solution: Use high-purity auxiliary gas for cutting. If necessary, try more options.
Solution:Let the laser cutting machine stand for a while before processing. It is generally not recommended to work continuously for more than 5 hours, and the equipment can be shut down normally.
