Precautions for Operating a Profile Bending Machine
Precautions for Operating a Profile Bending Machine

The profile bending machine has an arc-shaped, downward-adjustable structure. The upper roller is fixed, and the two lower rollers move in an arc relative to the upper roller around a central axis. The main function of the profile bending machine is to pre-bend the ends of the profile and to bend and deform it. Simultaneously, the two lower rollers also serve as the main drive shafts, driven by hydraulic motors, to roll the bent profile into shape.

To prevent twisting and deformation of the profile during the bending process and to improve the bending accuracy, two support rollers and wheels are added, which can move vertically up and down to accommodate profiles of different specifications and bending radii.
The profile bending machine is hydraulically driven, with centralized electrical control of the lifting and lowering movement of the two lower rollers. It features a digital display and is operated centrally from the worktable. The machine has a reasonable structure, stable performance, and good energy and material saving effects.
Points to note during profile bending machine operation:
1. First, fix the upper die, ensuring the die's center of gravity and the pressure head's center are aligned. The upper and lower die planes must fit tightly with uniform gaps, and check that the upper die has sufficient stroke.

2. Start the profile bending machine, perform a test press, and check for any abnormalities and proper lubrication. For workpieces difficult to remove from the die, add appropriate lubricant or oil to reduce friction and facilitate demolding.

3. Before formal bending, recheck that the workpiece number and dimensions match the drawings, and check for burrs on the blank that could affect pressing quality. For large batches of workpieces, adjustable positioning blocks must be installed; any deviations should be adjusted promptly.

4. Do not use your hands to directly handle workpieces on the profile bending machine's die. For larger workpieces, they can be handled from outside the die. For workpieces smaller than the die, use other tools for handling.
